We are in British Columbia, Canada. This has to be one of the most beautiful places anywhere. It may be time to head south as it's getting cold and there are skiffs of snow, early morning frost and ice on the rivers. Soon we'll be heading "south of the border"- well, the US/Canadian border that is, (no Mexican food here)!
O.K., now for some news and a cry for HELP!!! There is freight being prepared in Abbotsford, British Columbia, to fill a 40 ft. container that will be shipped to Kosova! Isn't this great? There are lots of good clothes, shoes, $250,000 of new farm / garden seeds, canned food, flour, sports equipment, bicycles, furniture, some computers and more. There is still room for more "good stuff", so you Canadians have a little more time to get your good stuff ready (let us know by e-mail and we will let you know who to contact in Abbotsford). The container must be shipped before the end of 2002. Lift Kosova must raise the funds to cover the shipping costs. We must be prepared to pay an estimated $4000 USD, possibly more for additional charges including insurance and the United Nations fees (taxes).
We have about $100 - guess we need a little more! We're going to trust God to provide by giving you all a burden to help. With a poor harvest in Kosova and so few jobs, this may be a difficult winter, especially in the villages of Kosova. We know this is another opportunity for reaching people with God's love by providing clothing, supplies and God's Word. We have about a month to guarantee payment for shipping - can you help?
We are hoping to hear from you soon!
