Hello,
Yep, we're on the road again, Don finished driving truck for the sugar beet harvest in Minnesota and we headed
out. The beet harvest took about 12 days for most of the growers, some rain along the way made the fields a bit muddy, and the trucks had to be pulled by tractors through the mud in the fields.
There is still a little boy lurking somewhere in Don, he loved it out there in the truck and mud! I had a great time visiting with my family, and when it was time to leave it was a tearful farewell. Even when you go where the Lord is leading it can be sad to say goodbye.
We are in Calgary, Alberta Canada, visiting at Don's daughter's. Tomorrow we will go to Edmonton, to visit Don's Mom and the rest of his family. Its been a restful couple of days here, but lots of people to see, so will have to pick up the pace a little.
We had a good visit with an Albanian family who now lives here in Calgary. We met them and worked with them in Durres, Albania. They seem to be doing well here in Canada but they seem to be a little lonely too. Hasan said "no one comes to visit in our home or comes to eat with us like they did back home in Albania". The hospitality of our Albanian and Kosovar friends is awesome, and Hasan and family brought their graciousness to Canada.
We hope to be in Sequim and Port Angeles, Washington the 2nd week of November. We will visit our friends Paul and Heidi and are eager to see our Kosovar guys Leart and Jetmir, from Gjakova. The guys are in their 2nd year of college already, and this remains a miracle to us! As you may remember, they both were our translators in Kosove and became Christians before they came to America. God has made a way for them when it seemed there was no way! We will always be grateful to Paul for all the help he gave our "Kosovar sons". Now we have about a dozen young people in Kosove who are top of their class, speak English quite well, and share the same dream of attending school in America. Well, if its God's will it can happen! Maybe there is some way you can help!
OK, that's it for this time, more later.
Zoti ju bekofte,
Don & Marti
